East-coast town. Often slightly drier than western Singapore over a full year.
How rain usually arrives here
Bedok is on the east-coast side of the long-term rainfall map. Sumatra squalls that soak Jurong sometimes arrive here weaker, or not at all. Sea breeze from the Singapore Strait can hold afternoon storms just inland of the beach.
Use the 50 km radar for afternoon cells drifting east, and the 480 km view in December for surge bands over the South China Sea.

The east coast is the drier side of the long-term rainfall map. Northeast monsoon winds are more obvious here. Squalls that soak Jurong at 6am often arrive weaker, or miss this side entirely.
