Lim Chu Kang is open farmland and training area. Less urban heat, more wind, and a clear view of squalls arriving from the west-northwest. Nights are cooler than the city. Northeast monsoon winds are obvious here.
On monsoon days the 480 km radar shows the surge. On still afternoons the 2-hour nowcast for the north towns is the better local call.
North Singapore
The north coast feels the Northeast Monsoon more than southern estates: windier, a little cooler, with a fetch across the Johor Strait. Forested catchment towns also run cooler at night than the downtown core.
