Sungei Kadut sits beside the catchment, so storms that grow over the reservoirs often arrive quickly. It is industrial and agro, with less urban heat than Toa Payoh. Squalls from the west still reach here with some punch.
On monsoon days the 480 km radar shows the surge. On still afternoons the 2-hour nowcast for the north towns is the better local call.
